Jan. 16, 2016 — Michael Reyes, OFM, was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Roberto González, OFM, of San Juan, Puerto Rico. On Feb. 18, Roberto will celebrate Mass at which two friars will be ordained.

Jan. 8, 2012 — The renovated chapel at the University of Georgia in Athens, was dedicated by Provincial Minister John O’Connor, OFM.
Jan. 16, 2012 — Sacred Heart Friary in East Rutherford, N.J., formally closed. St. Anthony’s Guild relocated to New York City.

Jan. 27, 2007 — St. Mary’s Parish in Pompton Lakes, N.J., concluded its centennial celebration with a special liturgy. Provincial Minister John O’Connor, OFM, served as principal celebrant and homilist.
Jan. 25, 2007 — Siena College’s student newspaper The Promethean included a special section commemorating the 70th anniversary of the college in Loudonville, N.Y. In 2012, the college celebrated its 75th anniversary.

Jan. 1, 2002 — The Province assumed responsibility for the parish of Santa Ana in the Diocese of Lurin, Peru, with Anthony Wilson, OFM, serving as the first friar pastor.
