NEW YORK —Several job opportunities are open in locations both in the Province and related to Franciscan ministries.

Within Holy Name Province
►  Provincial Office, Midtown Manhattan: Administrative Assistant for the Office of Promoter of Vocations is being sought.

The candidate will, according to Brian Smail, OFM, perform daily administrative tasks including regular updates of the online Vocation Office database, and telephone contact with vocation candidates and Franciscan friars throughout Holy Name Province, and he/she will assist in the organization of Vocation weekends throughout the year.

As part of the Vocation Office team, the administrative assistant must be able to professionally represent the office while the Vocation Director is away, said Brian, who takes over as Vocation Director in November.  The ability to maintain strict confidentiality is also required.

►  On Long Beach Island, N.J., at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, two job openings:
1.   Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, at St. Francis Counseling Service; part-time evening hours; responsibilities will include assessments, group, family and individual substance abuse counseling. Outside the Province
