NEW YORK — The Province’s Communications Office has announced an opening for a summer intern. The candidate should be a college student majoring in journalism, communications, English or graphic design. The position will fulfill internship requirements.
The opportunity will offer a young person experience in writing, editing and design. Information is available from the Province’s communications director, Jocelyn Thomas, at 646-473-0265 ext. 321, who requests that inquiries be made by May 3.
The Communications Office has been notified of several other positions at HNP ministries and at locations affiliated with the Province. Job descriptions of each of the following appear on the Washington Theological Union website. They are:
• Catholic social teaching education coordinator for United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, department of justice, peace and human development
• Director for life-long faith formation, St. Camillus Parish, Silver Spring, Md.
• Director of youth and young adult ministry, St. Mary of the Mills Church, Laurel, Md.
• Manager of mission and ministry for Catholic Charities, Alexandria, Va.
In addition, several volunteer opportunities are being publicized by St. Francis of Assisi Church in Midtown Manhattan. Details about the positions appeared on page 3 of the April 10 bulletin. The parish is seeking persons with experience in grant writing and participants for a new caregivers assistance program.
