NEW YORK — A three-part Retirement Planning Series is being offered next month by St. Francis of Assisi Church here.
Registration for the series being held at St. Francis Center, 139 West 31st Street, is being accepted until April 24. The programs will be held on Tuesday evenings, May 1, 8, and 15, from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.
According to organizer Marie Harrington, the parish’s director of outreach programs, the series will help attendees consider the many issues involved in planning for retirement.
Topics and speakers include:
● May 1 — Legal Considerations after Retirement: Power of Attorney, Health Care Proxy and Wills; Clifford Meirowitz, attorney, Meirowitz and Pellegrino
● May 8 — Rethinking Retirement: Considerations and strategies on what to consider as you plan for retirement and how you can plan and manage for changing circumstances; Patricia Murphy, vice president, Investments, UBS Financial Services, Inc.
●May 15 — The Emotional Impact of Retirement; Marie Harrington, LMSW
