NEW YORK — Stephen Mimnaugh, OFM, is facilitating a reading group on Care for Creation: A Franciscan Spirituality of the Earth, by Sr. Ilia Delio, OSF, Br. Keith Warner, OFM, and Pamela Wood. All are welcome to the group, which is holding its first session March 17.
The group will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. March 17 and 24 and April 7 and 14 at St. Francis of Assisi Church on West 31st Street.
“This is not a lecture course. Instead, it is a reading group,” according to a recent announcement.
Registration was extended in order to have enough people to generate meaningful discussions. The group cannot exceed 12 participants.
Participants are required to obtain a copy of the book, published by St. Anthony Messenger Press.
Those interested in the reading group should contact Stephen by e-mail. A recent posting on the “St. Francis of Assisi NYC” Facebook page indicated that Stephen is considering forming a long-term book group at the parish.
