HACKENSACK, N.J. — A funeral will be held tomorrow at St. Mary’s Church, Pompton Lakes, for Cecile Federici, 63, who died on Feb. 25 following a battle with renal cancer.
Cecile, who died at Hackensack University Medical Center here, was dedicated to the Church, where she served in several capacities over the last 27 years.
Her most recent position was as business manager of St. Joseph’s Church in West Milford, N.J. In 1999, she was the recipient of the Province’s Francis Medal.
She is survived by her husband Gerald, sons Mark of Annandale and Leonard of Butler, and daughter Maria Patania and parents, Victor and Teresa Rivard of Springfield, Mass. Cecile was also the grandmother of Kristen and Nicholas Federici and Dominic and Angelina Patania.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.,Thursday, Mar.1, at at St. Mary’s Church, 17 Pompton Ave., Pompton Lakes, N.J. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Milford, N.J.
