Members of Holy Name Province are reminded that registration for the LaVerna formation program – a pilgrimage in May to Rome, Greggio, Assisi, LaVerna and Bagnoregio – is open until Dec. 10.
Space is limited to 22 friars, according to F. Edward Coughlin, who is leading the pilgrimage with Michael Carnevale.
As part of the Grace of our Origins initiative of the Order of Friars Minor, the pilgrimage of renewal will include time at some of the most sacred and, perhaps to some, familiar historical places, according to the program’s flyer. The input, reflections and discussions will focus on the individual and fraternal spiritual journeys of the participants.
The pilgrimage for the friars was developed as part of the preparation for the eighth centenary of the foundation of the Order of Friars Minor in 2009.
