Kevin Mackin, who has served since 1996 as the ninth president of Siena College, will be honored as the Marketer-Executive-Citizen-Award (MECA) winner for 2006 by the Eastern New York affiliate of Sales & Marketing Executives International. The event will be held the evening of March 22 at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Albany, N.Y.
The MECA honoree is selected on the basis of lifetime achievement as a leader and a communicator to a person who has made major contributions to the Capital District.
A donation will be made by SMEI/ENY to a charity of Kevin’s choosing.
SMEI/Eastern New York is one of dozens of chapters in SMEI, which has more than 10,000 members in such countries as New Zealand, Mexico, Hong Kong and Canada, as well as the U.S. The local chapter is celebrating its 52nd year of offering professional development for sales and marketing executives locally.
