No to Mining, Yes to Life
El Salvador and its people don’t want a gold mine built in the northern region of Cabañas – it would destroy the Titihuapa and Lempa Rivers, which are major water sources for the entire country.
But OceanaGold, a mining company, doesn’t care – they’re suing El Salvador for more than $300 million in an effort to force the government to allow them to build their mine.
El Salvador and its people have the right to decide whether or not they want this gold mine in their country – and their decision needs to be respected.
Stand with El Salvador. Add your name: Tell Oceana Gold to drop its suit against El Salvador.
