NEW YORK — Seven friars marking 25th and 50th anniversaries of profession this year will be honored Nov. 12 with a special Mass celebrated by Provincial Minister Kevin Mullen, OFM. All are welcome to the 5:30 p.m. liturgy at St. Francis of Assisi Church on West 31st Street.
Those marking 50 years are:
- John Anglin, OFM, of St. Petersburg, Fla.
- Brice Leavins, OFM, of Providence, R.I.
- Richard Mucowski, OFM, of Wood-Ridge, N.J.
Those marking 25 years are:
- Thomas Conway, OFM, of Boston
- Francis Kim, OFM, of Blairstown, N.J.
- Patrick Tuttle, OFM, of Greenville, S.C.
- Jud Weiksnar, OFM, of Buffalo, N.Y.
In the past, the Province’s jubilee celebration was held in June. The 2014 event has been scheduled later to accommodate the transitions of Provincial administration members. The Provincial Minister, Vicar and councilors were elected in June at the Provincial Chapter.
