Jubilee Celebration Set for June 30

HNP Communications Around the Province

NEW YORK — Six friars who are commemorating major anniversaries of profession as Franciscans will be honored next month by the Province.

All are welcome to the annual provincial celebration, being held June 30 at St. Francis of Assisi Church on West 31st Street. It features a 5:30 p.m. Mass, celebrated by Provincial Minister John O’Connor, OFM. A reception for guests of the jubilarians will follow.

Invitations have been mailed by Provincial Secretary Michael Harlan, OFM, to all Holy Name friars, with extra quantities shipped to the jubilarians. The friars being honored this year are Mark Reamer, OFM, celebrating 25 years, and celebrating 50 years as friars: Michael Carnevale, OFM, Timothy Dauenhauer, OFM, Michael Joyce, OFM, Gerald Mudd, OFM, Francis Soucy, OFM.

A friar who died in April, Brian Linehan, OFM, was also part of the latter class.
