NEW YORK — Eighteen friars who are marking major anniversaries of profession this year will be honored June 24 at a special Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church on West 31st Street. The Province’s annual jubilee celebration of friars commemorating 50 and 25 years as professed Franciscans will include a 5:30 p.m. liturgy. The event will recognize 750 years of Franciscan service.
