NEW YORK — The Provincial Administration has set the date of June 24 for this year’s celebration of profession. Eight friars who are commemorating 25 and 50 years as Franciscans will be recognized.
The annual event will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Church on West 31st Street in New York City, and will include a 5:30 p.m. Mass, open to the public, and a reception.
Those being honored are:

Lawrence Hayes, OFM, of St. Camillus Parish, Silver Spring, Md.
Gene Pistacchio, OFM, of St. Anthony Shrine, Boston
Golden Jubilee (50 Years)

Louis McCormick, OFM, of Mt. Irenaeus Franciscan Mountain Retreat, West Clarksville, N.Y.
David Bossman, OFM, of South Orange, N.J.
Thaddeus Sapio, OFM, of St. Mary of the Angels Parish, Anderson, S.C.
Michael McDonnell, OFM, of Holy Name of Jesus Parish, New York
