NEW YORK, N.Y. – Provincial Minister John O’Connor, OFM, president of the English-speaking Conference, has been asked to serve as temporary representative of the conference to the General Minister, the General Definitorim, and the General Curia.
John will fill in for Finian McGinn, OFM, the definitor general for the English-speaking provinces, who is recuperating in California from a serious illness and is not expected to be able to return to Rome for several months.
According to John, this temporary position does not mean that John will have to travel to Rome, but he will take on additional responsibilities.
