NEW YORK — Franciscans International, which works at the United Nations here and with organizations around the world to advocate for the most vulnerable, is seeking a chief financial officer.
The position can be located either in New York City or Geneva, Switzerland.
The CFO is a member of the senior management team and is an ex-officio, non-voting member of the international board of directors and will carry out duties in the context of Franciscan values and the vision and mission of Franciscans International.
Applicants should have five to 10 years’ experience as a CFO, or head of a finance department, or as an OFM/congregational bursar. He or she should have strong analytical, communication, presentation and organizational skills as well as an ability to think strategically. Good interpersonal, people management and motivational skills are required, along with an ability to work as a team member. Candidates must be fluent in English. Knowledge of French and other languages is an asset, according to the job description.
