Members of four Franciscan OFM provinces will be gathering in June for their annual interprovincial convocation.
Registration details for the event being held at The Racine Marriott in Racine, Wis., will be finalized around Easter time, according to Benet Fonck, OFM, editor of the bulletin of Sacred Heart Province.
The keynote speaker will be Provincial Vicar Dominic Monti who specilizies in medieval Church history.
The convocation is being organized by Assumption BVM Province, Our Lady of Guadalupe Province, Sacred Heart Province, and St. John the Baptist Province. A promotional flyer informs potential participants that “opportunities will abound to discuss, enlarge, redefine, clarify, and question our vision of the often dreaded “R” word (restructuring).”
Participants will discuss ways to better collaborate, Fr. Benet said, adding that friars of Holy Name Province who are interested in attending the convocation should contact him by e-mail at FonckBenet@aol.com
