Immaculate Conception Province Elects Leaders

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. — The friars of Immaculate Conception Province elected members of their definitorium, or provincial council, last week at a chapter that included an address by a member of Holy Name Province.

The newly-elected IC council, shown in the photo at right with Provincial Minister Fr. Primo Piscitello, OFM, and Provincial Vicar Fr. Robert Campagna, OFM, includes: Fr. Patrick Boyle, OFM, Br. Ronald Bolfeta, OFM, Br. Vincent Ciaravino, OFM, Fr. Richard Martignetti, OFM, and Fr. John Scarangello, OFM.

On June 25, William Beaudin, OFM, of Loudonville, N.Y., delivered a keynote address to the chapter, held at Mt. Alvernia Retreat Center. Bill’s talk — about the challenges facing Franciscan leadership — was based on the presentation that he gave last summer during a retreat of administrations of the U.S. provinces. The text of the address was posted last week on the English-speaking Conference website and Facebook page.

Bill, a staff member of Siena College and guardian of St. Bernardine of Siena Friary, has been a member of the HNP Provincial Council since 2011.

Fr. Primo has served as provincial minister of the East Coast province since 2010.
