Immaculate Conception Friars Gather in Assisi

NEW YORK – Friars from the Immaculate Conception Province gathered in Assisi this fall for their provincial retreat chapter.  Approximately 70 attended the Sept. 28  to Oct. 5  gathering.

Thomas Washburn, OFM, Immaculate Conception’s communications director and secretary of the English-speaking Conference, is working with the communications director of Holy Name Province, Jocelyn Thomas, to gather together the communications directors of all the member provinces of the ESC for a meeting.  Plans are being made to gather before the next meeting of the provincial ministers, in late March at St. Bonaventure University.

Four men were recently accepted into IC’s postulancy  program at a Tau Ceremony held at Mount Alverna Friary Chapel on Sept 17.
