Honoring Jubilarians, Remembering the Deceased

Rebecca Doel In the Headlines

Chapter 3 in Ecclesiastes begins, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance….”

In 2010, the friars of Holy Name Province had their moments of weeping and mourning for 14 of their brothers whose time it was to die. But, with the coming of a new year, friars welcome opportunities to laugh and dance with other brothers who will reach milestone anniversaries in 2011.

The Province extends congratulations to the 41 men marking anniversaries of profession or ordination this year.

These jubilarians have served in parishes and on campuses, in offices and the mission field, with sick and the poor, young and old, overseas and along the East Coast.  They are
