NEW YORK — Dozens of Holy Name Friars gathered in midtown Manhattan the evening before the May 24 ordination to celebrate their brothers who were being honored the next day. These nearly 50 friars, representing a variety of states, parishes, and ministries, shared cocktails and fraternity on the terrace at the West 31st Street friary, which opened in May 2007.
Those travelling the farthest were from Florida, Maryland, and the Carolinas, said George Corrigan, OFM, who took these photos.
