GARRISON, N.Y. — The Graymoor Spiritual Life Center is hosting the 11th annual National Film Retreat from July 16 to 18, on the campus of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement Province, located between Albany and New York City.
The retreat, based on the theme “Searching for Peace,” is open to “anyone over 18 who loves movies,” according to an Internet announcement.
Four films will be viewed and discussed throughout the weekend. They are “The Lives of Others,” “Marvin’s Room,” “Departures,” and “King of Hearts,” two of which won Academy Awards.
The retreat directors are three people who specialize in media and film.
