BRANT BEACH, N.J. — St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Long Beach Island is offering a faith formation series this summer that includes six presentations by four friars.

Allen Weber, OFM, of St. Bonaventure University, spoke last week about “Faith: A Relationship and A Process.” On July 17 and 18, Daniel Horan, OFM, gave two presentations titled “What Is Dating God: A New Look at Franciscan Spirituality and Prayer.” Dan, who has been stationed at the Shore parish since his ordination in May, based his talks on his book, Dating God.

Two more presentations are scheduled for later this month.

Daniel Lanahan, OFM, of Butler, N.J., will speak at 10 a.m. on July 30 about “When God Says No.”

On July 31 and Aug. 1, Dennis Tamburello, OFM, of Siena College, Loudonville, N.Y., will give a presentation titled “Reflections on Faith in the 21st Century.”

All of the presentations are being held at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach. Information about other events at the more than 80-year-old parish comprising four churches can be found in the parish bulletins on the St. Francis of Assisi website.
