The friars of the Province are mourning the deaths of a former friar, parish trustee, and relatives of three friars.
Jack Dauenhauer, 92, brother of Timothy Dauenhauer, OFM, died on Jan. 16 in Syracuse, New York.
John McGuinness, a former trustee of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in New York City, died on Jan. 20 in the Bronx, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Jan. 24 at St. Margaret of Cortona Church
James (Columban) Hollywood, 88, a former friar, died on Jan. 30. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Feb. 11 in Scarborough, Maine.
Mary Adams, aunt of Brian Smail, OFM, died on Feb. 2 in Malden, Massachusetts.
Cecelia Harlan, 87, mother of Provincial Secretary Michael Harlan, OFM, died on Feb. 5 in Sparkill, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Feb. 11 at St. John the Baptist Church in Piermont, N.Y.
