MATEO PUMACHAHUA, Peru —  The friars in Holy Name Province’s mission in Peru celebrated last month as  Percy Osorio Palpan, OFM, and Edgardo Zea Laura, OFM, professed their first vows before Paul Breslin, OFM, superior of the Mission.

The ceremony was held Sept. 9 at the parish church of Nuestra Senora de Lourdes (Our Lady of Lourdes) in Mateo Pumacahua, Surco, Lima.

Most of the friars of the mission were able to attend the profession. In addition, Thomas Gallagher, OFM, director of novices, represented the Province’s U.S. formation team, and Jim McIntosh, OFM, travelled from Bolivia to join the group.

This church and friary are connected to the headquarters friary of HNP’s Peruvian mission.  Photos of the event, described by Spanish text,  provided by Paul can be found on the link below. The friars in the photos are from the Province’s two parishes in Lima.
