At the recent Chapter of the Most Holy Name Province (Goias, Brazil), Paul Osborne was elected Vicar Provincial.
Paul has been ministering in Brazil since 2004, where he previously served from 1965 to 1984. In light of his election, Paul petitioned HNP’s Provincial Council to be officially transferred from Holy Name Province (New York) to become a member of our daughter province in Brazil. The Provincial Council granted his request at its Dec. 13 meeting; Paul thus passes into the ranks of HNP “alumni” friars.
At the same Chapter, Fr. Wanderley Carvalho do Couto was elected Provincial Minister of Holy Name Province in Brazil, succeeding Fr. Fernando Peixoto de Castro.
