NEW YORK — Fr. Brian V. Flynn, OFM, a member of St. Barbara Province, returns to live with Holy Name Province on Jan. 1, when he moves to St. Anthony Residence in Boston.
Brian began his Franciscan journey in Holy Name Province, entering the Order in Paterson, N.J., in 1953. He made solemn profession in 1957 at Christ the King Seminary in Allegany, N.Y., and was ordained in 1960.
Brian transferred to St. Barbara Province in the early 1970s, and has ministered on the West Coast since. He most recently was assigned to Portland, Ore.
“We extend Brian a heartfelt welcome back to the East among the friars of Holy Name Province, as he continues his Franciscan journey” said Dominic Monti, OFM, Provincial Vicar, adding that Brian remains a member of the West Coast province.
