- William Herbst and Ronald Pecci, the Province’s postulant directors, attended the biannual meeting of the English-speaking Conference’s postulant directors at Mt. Angel Abbey in Mt. Angel, Oregon, from May 8 to 10. Hosted by the St. Barbara Province, the program included exchanging ideas and presentations on “Cross Cultural Considerations” with references to the “new” cultures affecting the church in the U.S. and religious life, according to Ron. Kathy Akiyama, a cultural anthropologist, made the presentations.
- At St. Francis of Assisi Church in Raleigh, William McConville led a program about praying the Franciscan Rosary on May 21.
- Kevin Mullen begins his new position as the 10th president of Siena College on June 1. His first official function in his new role will be participating in the alumni reunion festivities over the weekend of June 2.
- Gonzalo de Jesús Torres will be spending a month at Immaculate Conception parish in Durham, N.C.
