WEST CLARKSVILLE, N.Y. — The Franciscan Sojourners, an outreach program of the Mt. Irenaeus community to support St. Bonaventure University (SBU) alumni, family and friends who seek the Franciscan Way, is holding a gathering next month in the capital district of New York.
Joe Aini, a 1986 SBU graduate, who organized a Franciscan Sojourners gathering last spring, is planning another one for May 18, 3 p.m. The event will include a prayer service, followed by a potluck meal.
The event takes place at the Sisters of St. Joseph Provincial House in Latham, N.Y. It is hosted by Sr. Marianne Comfort, CSJ, a 1984 SBU graduate.
Dan Riley, OFM, visited the Albany area several months ago with a Mountain On The Road gathering at Siena College. Supporting his hope that these Mountain On The Road events will lead to spiritual renewal, a Franciscan Sojourners chapter was initiated in the capital region.
To attend the May 18 event, RSVP by May 15 to Aini, joeaini40@gmail.com or 518-861-6478.
