ALLEGANY, N.Y. — The Franciscan Sisters of Allegany are hosting a Women’s Spirituality Day on Sept.  29.

The event at the St. Elizabeth Motherhouse will explore God’s love and the unique ways that it comes into women’s lives.

The event promises to help women explore the life of Jesus Christ to see tangible examples of love in action with the women who companioned with Jesus. It also will allow women to reflect on their own lives to become more aware of the presence of God’s love. Women will also discuss how living a more prayerful and contemplative life — even in the midst of challenging times — can increase awareness of God’s extraordinary love.

During this retreat, participants will pray, draw, meditate and laugh. The retreat will be a “rest stop” where women can refuel for their spiritual journeys in this complex world. Presenter will be Sr. Anne Dougherty, OSF.

Registration forms are available at St. Bonaventure Church, and must be submitted by Sept. 24 with a $15 donation.  Checks should be made payable to St. Elizabeth Motherhouse. Information is available at 716-373-0200.
