ALLEGANY, N.Y. — The Franciscan Sisters of Allegany are holding several retreats to help women who are considering religious life to discern their vocations.
The upcoming retreats are March 8 in Boston, March 15 in Haddonfield, N.J., and April 11-13 in Tampa, Fla. Information is available through the community’s Vocation Director Sr. Mary McNally at fsavoc@aol.com, as well as in the “Become a Sister” section of the community’s Web site.
The Franciscan Sisters of Allegany host discernment retreats in various geographic areas for women who are listening to God’s call and discerning a vocation to religious life. In addition to considering the topics of call, discernment and the elements of religious life, weekends include time for reflection, prayer and liturgy. Women find these retreats helpful in their discernment process, according to the Web site.
