Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn Announce New Leaders

BROOKLYN — Br. William Boslet, OSF, was elected recently as the superior general of the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn. He begins his four-year term on May 22, as does the new assistant superior general, Br. Kevin Smith, OSF.

In September 2009, Holy Name Province recognized the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn with a Francis Medal, in honor of the community’s 150th anniversary. The ceremony took place at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Midtown Manhattan.

Three new councilors were elected, also for 2011-2015 terms, according to the recent announcement. They are: 
· Br. Richard Contino, OSF
· Br. Joshua DiMauro, OSF
· Br. Jeremy Sztabnik, OSF
