ROME, Italy — Pope Benedict XVI appointed Santiago Agrelo Martinez, OFM, of Spain as archbishop of Tangiers, Morocco, last month.
According to Fraternitas, the bishop-elect, until recently professor at the theological Institute of Compostela and a pastor in rural parishes, was born in Spain in 1942.
