SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. — Louie Vitale, OFM, was arrested earlier this month for trying to deliver a letter denouncing torture to the commander of Fort Huachuca in Arizona.

Fr. Louie, who is the former Provincial Minister of the St. Barbara Province in California, was arrested with Jesuit Fr. Steve Kelly. They were part of a group of 120 people protesting that day against military intelligence training at the fort that fosters torture.
