ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The friars of St. Anthony Friary here are preparing to welcome the guardians of the Province next week for their annual meeting.
The leaders of the 36 friaries of the Province will meet from Nov. 16 through 19 at a nearby hotel.
The gathering will focus on discussions about a variety of topics such as vocation, finances, communication and justice and peace, and include a day-long workshop on leadership. Provincial Secretary Michael Harlan, OFM, is coordinating logistics for the event with help from the Provincial Council members andJames Toal, OFM, guardian of St. Anthony Friary, and John Capozzi, OFM, vicar, hosts for the gathering.
The meals for the guardians and other meeting participants will be offered at the friary. In addition, 21 friar guests will be lodged there.
At the conclusion of the guardians’ meeting, the HNP Provincial Council members will meet at St. Anthony Friary.
