HARTFORD, Conn. — The first of two Holy Name Province “Come and See” weekends for those interested in bringing a servant leadership program to their parish, site or shrine will be held this month in New York City. It will be at Holy Name of Jesus Church on West 96th Street from 6 to 9 p.m. on April 20 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 21.
The second weekend will be held Sept. 21 to 23 at Loyola Retreat House in Faulkner, Md.
We chose these venues and dates for the two Partners-in-Ministry (PIM) events to make it easy for folks in the New York metropolitan area to be with us and, in the case of the Maryland retreat, convenient for those who are located spread out geographically to come and have a place to stay throughout the weekend. Though the New York schedule is a bit more compact, we will offer quality programs at both sites.
Each weekend will be facilitated by representatives from the Servant Leadership School in Hartford and will include:
- participation in two complete (90 minute) “circles” (“Deep Listening”and “The Paradox of Power”)
- time for conversation about facilitation of the circles
- questions and answers
- developing a strategy for getting started (how we can support you)
- prayer and meals.
Each participant will be provided with a copy of the “Beginnings” curriculum (first year of study) to take home.
To register or learn more, please contact me via email at m.rudman@servantleaders.org or by phone 860-202-8203. Participation at the September retreat is limited, so register early.
The PIM program is held in conjunction with the Province’s Ministerial Development Directorate which is led byAndrew Reitz.
