RALEIGH, N.C. — The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi is seeking an energetic visionary to serve as principal of its kindergarten-through eighth grade school.
The Franciscan School, founded in 2000, is a state-of the-art educational facility with a diverse faculty and an enrollment of more than 700 students. The school maintains high academic standards, a strong spiritual focus, a positive atmosphere, enthusiastic parental involvement, and community service, all in the Franciscan tradition of a strong Catholic educational environment supported by the parish community, according to the parish website.
The qualified applicant must be a practicing Catholic with a master’s degree or higher in educational administration or curriculum and instruction, must have or be eligible for an administrator’s license from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, and must have administrative experience, preferably in a parish-based Catholic school. The successful candidate must be a compassionate leader capable of interacting positively with parents, students, faculty, and parish staff, and have strong communication and leadership skills that foster collaboration.
The school offers a comprehensive benefits package and salary is commensurate with education and experience. Interested candidates should e-mail resumes with a statement of educational philosophy and a listing of three references to tresa.pickup@stfrancisraleigh.org by May 20. The starting date for the position is July 1. Information about other open positions at The Franciscan School can be found on the parish website.
Readers who would like to share employment opportunities at provincial ministries or at schools, parishes and other organizations affiliated with HNP are welcomed to provide job information to the Province’s Communications Office. Recently, Franciscan Mission Service publicized an opening for a communications and development manager.
