The Franciscan Federation of the Sisters and Brothers of the Third Order is seeking an executive director to begin duties on July 1.

The executive director assists the Franciscan Federation Board in creating policies and maintaining various communications initiatives including the Monthly Musings newsletter and the federation’s website, according to an ad on FranFed.org. The executive director must be able to work creatively and collaboratively with a variety of groups.

The new executive director will also work with the national board, which is preparing a proposal for the future of the Franciscan Federation that will be presented at the 2016 celebration, being held in June in Milwaukee.

The mission of the Franciscan Federation, whose national office is in Washington, D.C., is to promote the exploration and study of Franciscan Evangelical Life and its implications for these times and for our world, according to its website. The federation provides national and regional opportunities to collaborate, gather and celebrate so that the brothers and sisters can better live the Third Order Regular call to conversion, contemplation, poverty and humility.
