The Provincial Office was notified recently of two positions at both an HNP ministry and at an affiliated organization.
In Washington, the Franciscan Mission Service is seeking a married couple to serve as house managers for Casa San Salvador, a building that is home to missioners while they are in training, as well as other guests and residents. House managers will live in community with residents and guests.
Responsibilities — which amount to approximately 12 hours per week — include a weekly cleaning of the building, regular maintenance of garbage, recycling and compost, and regular cleaning of the kitchen and dining area. House managers will also coordinate community living, including leading a weekly or bi-weekly meeting about shared chores and events in the house.
Applicants should be a married couple with the willingness to be committed to and involved in the mission and ideals of FMS. Experience living in an intentional community and facilitating community meetings is helpful. More information is available on the organization’s website. Those interested in applying should contact Kim Smolik, executive director, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Other FMS news — including information about the communications position, publicized in the May 8 HNP Today issue — can be found on the organization’s website.
In Durham, N.C., Immaculate Conception Parish is seeking applicants for the newly created position of coordinator of Latino music ministry. The coordinator will report to the director music and jointly plan with her for the pastoral care and direction of the Latino music ministry.
Applicants must be able to communicate by email, phone and in person in both Spanish and English, and must have formal knowledge of music. A knowledge of Latino culture and liturgical practice in the Roman Catholic tradition is also required. More information is available on the parish’s website. To apply, a cover letter and resume should be sent to email@example.com or mailed to the parish office.
