HNP Communications Around the Province

The Provincial Office was notified recently about three opportunities to work with HNP ministries.

In northern Virginia, St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Triangle is searching for an assistant maintenance engineer. This is a full-time position with benefits. Job responsibilities include church and school facilities maintenance, as well as assistance with grounds upkeep and various facilities projects. In Pompton Lakes, N.J., St. Mary’s Parish is searching for a coordinator of high school youth ministry and retreats. A successful applicant should have a bachelor’s degree and preferably some experience with youth and/or retreat programming in a parish setting. He or she should also model Christian lifestyle and behavior and possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to facilitate and nurture high school youth and family ministry programs, according to Anne Silversey, St. Mary’s director of youth ministry.

In Western New York, St. Bonaventure University, Allegany, is seeking a minister in residence. This 24-hour, live-in position involves identifying and addressing the needs of the students, including providing assistance in crises and offering pastoral care when appropriate. Candidates will be expected to provide an environment to help students explore the intersection of faith, reason and action, as well as act as a role model for the campus community.

A successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree, as well as related experience in ministry or leadership. This exempt 10-month position will include evening and nighttime hours.
