Several Holy Name Province ministries are hiring. Applicants are currently being sought for positions at St. Camillus Parish in Silver Spring, Md., and at the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi in Raleigh, N.C. — both ministries where the Franciscans have been stationed for more than 30 years.
In Maryland
St. Camillus Parish, outside Washington, D.C., is seeking a full-time intercultural youth and young adult minister. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a parish-wide comprehensive intercultural young adult pastoral plan; engaging with the diverse youth at the church, the formation of leaders and adult advisors; as well as evangelizing to inactive young adults in the community.
An ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in Catholic philosophy, theology, and/or religious education with a focus on youth ministry or related field, as well as at least three years of experience in youth and campus ministry, evangelization or faith formation. Qualifications include strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Spanish and French, proficiency in composing letters, reports, and publishing articles for e-newsletter, and ability to understand church documents and guidelines. Familiarity and knowledge of the Catholic teachings of the church and Catechesis is valuable.

In North Carolina
St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Raleigh is seeking to fill the position of director of stewardship by July. This person will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all stewardship programs, activities and events across the St. Francis community. The staff member will be charged with the overall design and implementation of a complete program that supports the parish, its ministries and schools. This position will report to the director of finance and planning and serve as a member of the Pastor’s Advisory Group and Pastoral Council.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, business management or non-profit management, or will have comparable experience. Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate efficiency in handling multiple projects, and knowledge of strategic planning. This is a full-time position with benefits and salary commensurate with experience. The parish is also searching for a full-time assistant coordinator of middle school formation. In collaboration with the formation team, this individual will plan and lead youth ministry and formation events for grades six through eight. The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and experience to oversee a comprehensive sacramental preparation program, experience in motivating and mobilizing volunteers and basic data management, project planning, and time management skills.
