Two Franciscan organizations have job openings — one in New Jersey and one in Washington.
The Felician Franciscan sisters of Lodi, N.J., have an immediate need for pastoral care for sisters residing at two facilities on their property — the central convent and their infirmary. They are seeking two priests to fill chaplaincy positions whose responsibilities will include the following: celebrating Mass, confessions, visiting sick sisters, spiritual counseling and possibly ministering at a nearby high school and convent. Those who are interested should contact Sr. Mary Joselle Ratka at 973-473-7447 before Sept. 11. Details about the position are included on a job description provided by the Felician Sisters.
In Washington, the Franciscan Mission Service is seeking an associate director to serve as a key leader of FMS. The ideal candidate is a mission-focused, strategic and process-minded leader with experience growing an organization, leading a team, overseeing programs and expanding the capacity of a group of young, talented employees who are drawn to work in a faith-based environment, according to an FMS ad.
The associate director will create and oversee the annual operations plan and budget, supervise and collaborate with key program staff to deliver all programs, lead or co-lead short-term domestic and international trips, and serve as one of the key external representatives of FMS, among other responsibilities. A minimum of eight years professional experience, with at least three years of supervisory experience, is required. To apply, send a cover letter and resume as attachments to executive director Kim Smolik at email@example.com.
Readers who would like to share employment opportunities at Provincial ministries or at schools, parishes and organizations affiliated with HNP are welcomed to provide job information to the communications office.
