MACON, Ga. — The Communications Office has learned of several job openings at ministries affiliated with the Province.

Applicants are being sought for positions at Depaul USA, St. Peter Claver School and Family Advancement Ministry, all located in central Georgia where Frank Critch, OFM, William McIntyre, OFM, and Paul Santoro, OFM, have ministered since September 2015.

Depaul USA – an organization providing safe shelter, food and health services to people affected by homelessness – is seeking to fill the position of engagement specialist at Daybreak, Depaul’s resource center in Macon. This person will be responsible for completing interviews, documenting clients’ activities and progress, and referring clients to services both inside and outside of Daybreak.

The ideal candidate for this part-time position will hold a bachelor’s degree in social work, education or a human services related field, and will have at least one year of relevant experience. Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have knowledge of issues regarding homelessness and addiction. St. Peter Claver School, which offers pre-K through grade 8 instruction, has openings for two full-time teachers. Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching English, reading, writing and social studies to students in early education through grade 5. The school is also seeking to fill several part-time positions for Spanish, technology and physical education teachers. Applicants should be certified to teach students in grade K3 to 8.

FAM, a ministry of the Diocese of Savannah, is accepting inquiries and résumés for an executive director who will be responsible for developing and managing the scope of work outlined in the ministry’s plan. These include supervising both paid staff and volunteers, managing an annual budget, and overseeing fundraising and development. Qualification requirements include a master’s degree, five or more years’ experience, and a demonstrated understanding of the non-profit sector.
