Several HNP ministries and organizations affiliated with the Province are hiring. The jobs, including a volunteer opportunity, run the gamut from communications and recreation to finance and maintenance, and are located in the South, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

In Washington, the Franciscan Mission Service seeks a full-time communications volunteer for 13 months. The job includes writing for print and electronic media and assisting with implementation of development plans. A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or non-profit management is required, along with a commitment to service and social justice. Details about benefits, responsibilities and requirements, along with an application, can be found on FMS’s website, which describes missioners as living “a simple life in solidarity with their partners,” including the poor and oppressed in Africa and Latin America.

In North Carolina, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Raleigh, seeks a director of finance and planning to manage the bsiness functions of the parish, including financial oversight of the parish, school and preschool, columbarium and development. According to the parish website, responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, internal business controls and management of all financial processes. The director will report to the pastor and work closely with him, the parish finance council and other leadership members.

St. Francis is also hiring part-time community center recreation and facility specialists. Both positions are described on the website.

In New Jersey, St. Francis Parish on Long Beach Island seeks a full-time maintenance employee. Applications are available on the parish website and at the front desk of the parish center.
