In Raleigh, N.C., St. Francis of Assisi Parish is seeking a coordinator of stewardship and advancement to start March 2016. This person will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the fundraising and stewardship programs, activities and events across the St. Francis community. The staff member will be charged with the overall design and implementation of a complete program that supports the parish, its ministries and schools.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, business management or non-profit management, or will have comparable experience. Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated efficiency in handling multiple projects, and have knowledge of strategic planning. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and salary commensurate with experience. In Loudonville, N.Y., Siena College is seeking a director for the Sister Thea Bowman Center for Women. This individual will be responsible for the overall leadership, program development and management of the center, as well as for advancing Siena’s commitment to provide advocacy, programming and service opportunities that promote social justice, gender equity and the development of women.
Responsibilities include advising and mentoring students to coordinate program outreach focusing on a range of issues, such as sexual violence, relationships, positive body images, fair trade and anti-human trafficking; organizing service trips and educational immersion trips to extend student learning regarding gender equality, social justice and women’s development; and managing the center’s daily administrative responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in women’s studies, gender studies, higher education or a related field, and five to seven years of leadership and experience in managing a women’s center or similar field.
