The Province is mourning the deaths of relatives of three friars and of a staff member.
Bernice Testa, 96, grandmother of Russell Testa, director of the Province’s Office for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation, died Feb. 18. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 25 in Vineland, N.J.
John O’Connor Sr., 92, father of John O’Connor, OFM, of Triangle, Va., died Feb. 19 in Roslyn, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Feb. 23 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in New York City.
Emily Brookbank, 104, grandmother of Scott Brookbank, OFM, of Burlington, Wis., died Feb. 23. The funeral will be held in the spring.
Sr. Damian Marie McKeever, SC, 86, sister of the late Frederick McKeever, OFM, died March 1. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on March 5 at Chapel of Convent of Mary the Queen in Yonkers, N.Y.
