The Province is mourning the recent passing of five friars and a Franciscan sister.
Fr. Nathan (Edward) Jaskulski, OFM, 83, a member of Assumption BVM Province, died on Sept. 29 in Milwaukee.
Fr. Francis de Sales Paolo, OFM, 85, a member of Immaculate Conception Province, died Oct. 2 in Clearwater, Fla.
Sr. Catherine Georgine Portner, OSF, 99, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, died Oct. 10 at Assisi House in Aston, Pa.
Former Provincial Minister Fr. Francis Savier Vu Phan Long, OFM, of the province of St. Francis in Vietnam, died Oct. 13.
Fr. Francis Wendling, OFM, 83, of St. John the Baptist Province, died Oct. 16 in Ava, Mo.
Fr. Roch Pfeifer, OFM, 88, a member of Sacred Heart Province, died Oct. 23 in Manitowoc, Wisc.
