The Province is mourning the deaths of three friars and two sisters.
Two members of Sacred Heart Province have died: Fr. Alois Gabrus, OFM, 70, on June 15 in St. Louis, and on June 30, the secretary of the province, Br. Christopher Lambert, OFM, 70, passed away.
Two members of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia died last month: Sr. Irene Juras, OSF, 85, who died June 28 and Sr. Judith O’Neill, OSF, 84, who died June 29. Both died in Philadelphia.
Fr. Anthony Gonsalves OFM, 75, a member of Christ the King Province in Western Canada, died July 10 in Duncan, B.C.
