During recent weeks, several Franciscan friars and sisters have passed to eternal life.
Two members of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, N.Y., died recently: Sr. Rita Tomasulo, OSF, 89, on Nov. 13 and Sr. Mary Lawrence Scanlan, OSF, 92, on Nov. 24.
Fr. Roger Srednicki, OFM, 83, of Assumption BVM Province, died Nov. 24 in Milwaukee, Wis.
Fr. Thomas Shaughnessy, OFM, 81, of Sacred Heart Province, died Nov. 29 in Quincy, Il. Fr. Philibert Hoebing, OFM, 91, and Fr. Victory Kingery, OFM, 90, also of Sacred Heart Province, died Dec. 5 in Quincy and Springfield, Il., respectively. Biographical information was published in the Dec. 9 issue of Around the Province, the newsletter of Sacred Heart Province.
