During the recent weeks, several Franciscans have passed to eternal life. They are:
- Fr. Richard Portasik, 87, who died July 14 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
- Fr. Anthony Peloquin, OFM, of the Custody of the Holy Land, who died in San Diego on July 12. He studied theology with the friars of Holy Name Province and was ordained with the class of 1958.
- Fr. Bob Behnen, OFM, of Sacred Heart Province, who died July 11 in Springfield, Il.
- Fr. Owen Murphy, SA, who lived at Holy Name Community in Ringwood, N.J., died July 11
