Franciscan deaths

Holy Name Province is mourning the recent passing of a friar from St. John the Baptist Province, two friars from Sacred Heart Province and two Franciscan sisters.

Br.  Xavier Gedeon, OFM, 90, of St. John the Baptist Province, died April 23 at St. Margaret Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Two members of Sacred Heart Province have died – Fr. Eugene Michel, OFM, 81, died on April 3 in St. Louis, Mo., and Fr. Blane O’Neill, OFM, 92, died on March 28 in Ruston, La.

Two members of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities, based in Syracuse, N.Y., died: Sr. Mary Kevin DeTore, OSF, 97, died on March 8 and Sr. Margaret Anthony Domin, OSF, 82, on March 7.
